Ms. Melanie has been studying the piano and violin for over thirty years. She has been a church piano accompanist for 20 years. For the last 15 years, she has taught music and studied early childhood education. Ms. Melanie is considered a master teacher. She is a highly-qualified Instructional Leader (Level 3) with a master's degree and endorsements in elementary education and performing arts (music). She has also studied the Suzuki Method and has performed as a Suzuki piano accompanist. Currently, Ms. Melanie is the Director of Orchestras for two middle schools where her students have earned Superior Ratings in performance, sight reading, and music theory.
Ms. Meyer greatly enjoys teaching children to love to play music, which she feels is her calling in life:
