Little Hands Play Music Studio was established in 2001, when Ms. Melanie taught piano at Boykins Music & Arts and Parker Piano & Company in Yorktown, Virginia. At that time, Ms. Melanie was also a children's music director for a local church. Ms. Melanie has resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over ten years. She moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area where she was employed by the world-renowned string instrument dealer, Ifshin Violins. Ms. Melanie has been studying the piano and violin for over thirty-five years. She has been a church piano accompanist for over 20 years. For the last 15 years, she has taught music and studied early childhood education. Ms. Melanie is considered a master teacher. She is a highly-qualified Instructional Leader (Level 3) with an endorsement in performing arts (music) and master's degree in education.  She has also studied the Suzuki Method and has performed as a Suzuki piano accompanist.  For the last eight years, Ms. Melanie

Currently, Ms. Melanie is the Director of Orchestras for two middle schools where her students have earned Superior Ratings in performance, sight reading, and music theory.

Ms. Meyer greatly enjoys teaching children to love to play music, which she feels is her calling in life:
